World of Warcraft is 6 million-plus players strong and it’s showing no signs of slowing down. With eight new European servers now online, the game is gearing up for its impending “The Burning Crusade” expansion.
The new severs launched today and Blizzard says more are coming soon. The servers host multiple realms in English, French and German. They include pvp servers, role-play servers and regular play environments as well.
And as if millions of players and rapid growth weren’t enough, WoW is finishing up its expansion. The Burning Crusade will increase the level cap to 70, add new races, including the Blood Elf race, and open up new lands for players to explore, among other things.
There’s no release date or beta testing scheduled for the expansion as of yet, but there are some new screen shots on the game’s web site.
