Planetwide Games has teamed up with Nickelodeon and Viacom to put out a new version of its Comic Book Creator especially for Jack Black fans. The Nacho Libre version will be available for digital download starting June 8. The box version will arrive in stores after the June 16 release of the movie in the U.S.
The software will enable Black’s fans to create their own comic books based on the movie and will include key movie scene, tag lines, audio and more, much like they’re already able to do for such games as EverQuest II.
From Planetwide’s media release:
We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products in producing Nacho Libre Comic Book Creator interactive software” said Kevin Donovan, president of Planetwide Games. “Paramount Pictures is the first major Hollywood studio to embrace our innovative self-publishing software and integrate our digital comic book technology with the release of a feature film.”
In the movie, Black stars as Ignacio, a cook in a Mexican orphanage. By night, Black’s character is a lucha libre wrestler who raises money for the kids.
