SEGA Snares Charlotte’s Web Rights - 5.5.06

SEGA doesn’t plan to deliver just any pig to gamers this fall. Nope, the company has announced that the most famous porker of them all, Wilbur, also known as “some pig,” will be coming to the PC, Nintendo DS and the GameBoy Advance in the form of Charlotte’s Web the game.

Based on the movie by Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures, the title will let gamers take on the role of Wilbur or Templeton as they explore places such as Zuckerman’s barn and the county fair.

This captivating game will give players of all ages the opportunity to explore the charming and familiar world of Charlotte's Web like never before," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. "Players will find themselves immersed in an interactive environment where they'll encounter a colorful cast of characters while they embark on a very special journey."

It’s a kiddy title for certain, but one that will no doubt, tug at the heartstrings of parents in love with the oh so familiar story of that plucky pig and his best friend Charlotte.

The game’s due out this fall in plenty of time for parents to wrap up DS or GameBoy consoles and a copy for the holidays.

SEGA's also announced Sonic Rivals for the PSP.
