Will Wright
The Sims creator Will Wright will be presented with the Association of Electronic Interactive Marketers Hall of Fame Award during the MI6 Conference and Awards Show in June.

Wright not only is responsible for dreaming up The Sims, he’s also the guy behind what might be the most highly anticipated game right now – Spore. Wright’s been named one of the most important people in gaming, technology and entertainment by a score of publications including Time magazine.

From TMC Net:

Will Wright has had a revolutionary impact on the electronic games industry," said Jim Chabin, President & CEO of MI6 and AEIM. "As our industry and millions of fans worldwide anxiously await what promises to be a spectacular experience with his newest creation, 'Spore,' our board felt that now was an excellent time to acknowledge this person's impact on all of us."

The association itself is a fairly new nonprofit that supports video game marketers and other related professionals. The inaugral conference will include a speech by Wright. The organization boasts such members as Microsoft, Activision, MTV Networks and Midway Games.

It seems the association is coming out of the gate making good choices for its awards. If anyone deserves a Hall of Fame entry, its Wright. His work has been groundbreaking and his passion for realism has changed the face of gaming.
