EA games has announced its development of a customized version of Madden NFL 07 for the Nintendo Wii.
The title will incorporate the next-gen console’s unique remote to have players really getting into the game as they pass, kick, throw, catch and run. Many of the game’s innovations, in fact, have been inspired by the remote’s motion sensor.
Madden NFL 07 will be on display during the E3 this week. There’s no word on when the title will release for certain, but EA sure sounds excited about it.
Nintendo is breaking new ground with Wii. The brilliance of their innovation is inspiring and we have dedicated ourselves to developing outstanding new play experiences for the platform," said John Schappert, Senior Vice President and Group Studio General Manager, EA. "Deploying resources against a single platform in this manner is a new approach for us -- but it is the right approach."
Schappert added, "Madden NFL 07 is a Wii original. You may have played a football game in the past, but you've never played a game like this before."
