Private Ryan’s been saved. Jaws lost his bite. ET went home. Now, it’s being reported that renowned moviemaker Steven Spielberg will head up the creation of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft movie.
Fantasy fans all over the globe are rejoicing that the master storyteller has seemingly decided to revisit his roots. According to Movie Hole, Legendary Pictures will fund the production. There’s no news on when the film will go into production and there’s no confirmation on Spielberg’s involvement other than lots of rumors flying around the net.
As of this morning, there was nothing about the prospect on imdb either, but if the rumor’s true, the WoW movie will likely be a whole lot better than it could have been otherwise. In fact, it just might be a “good” video game-based flick.
Here’s hoping the rumors are true.
