Cubed 3 is reporting a November 6, 2006, launch for Nintendo’s Wii. The sources are unnamed, but the timeframe is tracking with everything that’s been stated so far by Nintendo and otherwise.
This from Cubed 3:
Today, we were provided with the following information...
"So, at the moment Nintendo are aiming to launch the Wii on November 6th"
Our source emphasised that this date is correct at present, but pointed out: "Nintendo aren't going to have an exact date in mind until they are sure they can meet the deadlines". Take it as a guide then if you will, but "they are very keen to be ready in time."
The Nov. 6 date would give Wii a tiny bit of a jump on the PS3’s stated release date of Nov. 17. Eleven days during the holiday season can actually mean a lot and with Wii expected to price out under $250, it could mean even more. Any way you crack it though, this holiday season looks like it’s going to belong to the next-gen consoles.
Keep in mind that Nintendo hasn't officially confirmed a price or a date as of yet.
