Thirty-something gamers who are still plagued by nightmares about losing rounds of Ms. Pac-Man to those crafty ghosts will not want to read further. It seems even a Bonobo chimp can be trained to play the game with relative ease.
A YouTuber has put a video up of the crafty chimp navigating Ms. Pac-Man skillfully through the game.
While I’m not one to discount the remarkable intelligence of chimps, I’ll be darned if this little bugger doesn’t seem to do be doing better than I did in most rounds. It appears as if the chimp is not only maze smart, but also joystick savvy. Other gamers have taken notice of this chimp's ability to garner some serious points, too.
The video is a little hard to follow as it’s not in English, but the message is loud and clear: This is one chimp that loves to help Ms. Pac-Man keep her girlishly round figure by eating up little pixilated dots. The creature’s ability is amazing and there’s no doubt it’s really into the game.
If they teach this thing to play EverQuest II, I might have to reconsider my gaming career.
Check out the Ms. Pac-Man fiend here and maybe even gain a few pointers.
Nods to Boing Boing.
