If you’ve ever wished for a little more substance while playing typical first person shooters, a creative game designer has come up with the answer – the Doom Parody Game.
A browser-based game done in Flash, the title offers a little more interaction than just shooting the place up. Created to be more of an adventure than a FPS, the game’s graphics are incredible compared to similar (yet remarkably fun) titles like the WolfenFlash 3-D.
Admitedly, it’s lacking the fast-paced, heart-pounding action of Doom, but all in all, it looks pretty neat for a parody. The cartoon graphics are darn amusing, too.
The game gives players lots of options when it comes to actions to take, asking for input on every turn, and even is loaded with zombies and blood. I didn’t have time to check it out all the way through, but I can tell you those zombies like to break necks.
The game certainly isn't as slick as its inspiring titles, but overall it's worth a peek and a chuckle. Summed up pretty well by Another Games Blog, the title is “cool.”
