Football fans and kids will get their fill this week with the video game releases, but everyone else might be in for a bit of a disappointment. NCAA Football 07 and Monster House are the two big releases for the week of July 17.
The NCAA Football title features a new student athlete mode that allows players not only to control action on the gridiron, but also off the field. Players have to maintain a high grade point average and improve character and intelligence on and off the field. This one, according to EB Games, releases for multiple platforms this week, including the PS2, PSP and the Xbox 360.
Have to admit that student mode sounds neat and it might help tide gamers over until the new Madden releases with its Hall of Fame edition for the Xbox 360 and PS2 later this summer.
Monster House is based on the Sony Pictures movie that comes out July 21. A scary adventure for kids, the movie features the voice of Steve Buscemi. The game’s out on platforms such as the PS2 and the Nintendo DS on the 18th.
