The Xbox 360’s clunky controller might just be getting some much-needed overhauling. There are reports out that indicate Microsoft is considering revamping the design to assist FPS lovers in enjoying their games more.
The controller’s setup doesn’t necessarily allow for the precision movement that gamers prefer, and Microsoft’s Robert S. Walker has been quoted as saying the company’s trying to come up with ways to fix the problem. His comments came during Seattle's Gamefest.
While there’s nothing in stone about a new controller, there’s some speculation it would be an optional peripheral that will focus on the right analogue stick.
The idea is a good one as the stock 360 controller is a bit hard to use – especially for those of us with small, uncoordinated hands. OK, maybe it’s a chick thing, but I hate the 360 controller with a passion.
Here’s hoping this one pans out; especially before Project Offset and Halo 3 get released!
