It’s beyond adorable, reportedly quite addictive and it seems Lego Star Wars II has some staying power, as well. The multi-platform Lego Star Wars II is still No. 1 on UK video game sales charts despite some tough competition including Just Cause, The Godfather and a soccer management title, LMA Manager.
The game has done very well on the worldwide front, too. Just about a week after its launch, LucasArts issued a media release saying it had sold more than 1.1 million copies over its eight platform run.
“There’s definitely something for everyone in LEGO Star Wars II, and the sales and reviews so far are proving it,” said Jim Ward, president of LucasArts. “This is the type of fun, accessible game everyone in the family can enjoy. It appeals to so much more than just the traditional gaming audience.”
This version of the popular Star Wars series involves a more humorous look at Episodes IV through VI. It’s one of those games that can manage to cross all platforms and age levels and still leave people with a smile on their faces.
The game’s retail price varies by region and platform. There's a demo available for those who aren't quite sure about the title.
