Sony’s pulled out all the stops in the creation of its new PlayStation 3 site designed for countries in Europe and a few other locales, such as Australia.
With a navigation system designed like a virtual gallery exhibit, the site is user friendly and pretty darn nifty. It features an area with “PS3 stories,” a spot for fan questions, short films and more.
The new specs page confirms that the PS3 will not come with a HDMI cable as standard. It will, however, have four USB ports and will be compatible with ATA hard drives from third parties as long as they’re 2.5-inch serials.
Check out the new site by clicking here. There are separate areas for countries as far ranging as New Zealand and Belgium. The site’s main portal features 11 language options, too.
As much as I love to pick on Sony, I have to admit I’m pretty impressed with the sophistication of the site. And, with the pricing on the console itself, catering to the more “sophisticated” seems to be a wise choice.
