PS3 Launch Window Titles Looking Good - 18.9.06

Heavenly Sword
You won’t convince me that Sony hasn’t done some serious bumbling in regard to its upcoming PlayStation 3 launch, but I’ll give credit where it’s due. Some of the games lined up for release on or about the time the console launches are more than making me salivate.

A story in Daily Game about the upcoming release of Heavenly Sword got me wondering exactly what’s on tap for the console’s Nov. 17 North American debut. The screen shots of this action title look absolutely spectacular. And, with Andy Serkis from “King Kong” and “Lord of the Rings” helping with the direction, it’s little wonder.

Based on what Best Buy has listed, and do keep in mind their lists are sometimes a little off, the launch titles for the PS3 offer a great mix of gaming genres. From Call of Duty 3 to Madden NFL 07, some of the biggest titles going will be going with the PS3 in addition to other platforms and then there’s Heavenly Sword, which as I’ve said, offers some major eye candy.

It's looking like the launch list is a lot better than many, myself included, expected. Here’s what Best Buy’s launch window list for the PS3 looks like right now. (We'll update it again a bit closer to PS3-Day:
