This one’s almost beyond description, but if the pictures are to be believed, there’s at least one couple out there that loves Nintendo’s Super Mario so much they invited him to their wedding.
The guest of honor, sort of, topped the cake. Literally!
Pictures on Flickr show off the quite colorful and rather unique wedding mainstay. The three-layer cake is complete not only with Mario topping it off, but also his Princess – special ordered from Japan.
As I’m sitting here writing this my husband is finishing off his command rank five rating in Planetside, so it really shouldn’t have surprised me his reaction was more than enthusiastic to the Mario cake.
Maybe it’s a guy thing?
I’m a video game nut, but maybe not this much. I’ve taken part in a real life medieval-themed wedding with a bunch of EQ junkies. I even got to dress the part and carry a short sword (foolish people). But, still I’m not sure I would have gone this far with my own wedding cake.
It is, however, pretty awesome to behold, and to each his and her own.
