He might be single handedly responsible for giving video game-based movies a bad name, but that hasn’t stopped Uwe Boll from taking it like a man.The German filmmaker is so willing to stand by his work, in fact, he faced several opponents in a boxing ring during a bout earlier this month. GoldenPalace.com presented the “Raging Boll” match and it’s still available for viewing on Wavelit.com.
Boll’s directorial works have included such films as “Alone in the Dark,” “House of the Dead,” and “In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.” He’s currently working on “Postal.”
Boll’s received a ton of bad press during his career, and he takes it with a grain of salt. “Many journalists make value judgments on my films based on the opinions of one or two thousand Internet voices,” claims Boll. “Half of those opinions come from people who’ve never watched my films.”
You’ve gotta give the guy credit for being willing to do what he does, take the abuse and keep on fighting. Speaking of which, Raging Boll costs $5 to view. In it, fans can see Boll take on four of his most outspoken critics in three-round matches.
As for how he does, you’ll just have to check it out and see.
