Right in the midst of the PlayStation 3 and Wii launches, Bungie has planned some big announcements for its upcoming release of Halo 3.
Frankie at Bungie.net isn’t saying what the announcements will be, but he’s promising they’ll be big. “There will also be some pretty BIG surprises and maybe announcements. Who can say,” he wrote in the weekly report.
Coincidentally, the game celebrates its 5th anniversary this week.
At this point, the only speculation I can muster is the hard release date for the title, which gamers have been waiting for with baited breath. I doubt it will be next week, as Frankie’s still saying “next year” on the launch, but still that would be sweet – especially with the two other consoles coming on the market.
Also, for those female Halo fans out there, Frankie’s tossed out the possibility of a female voice coming to the Spartan character in multiplayer mode.
“If we do it, it won’t be comical, stereotypical or insulting – we’ll pick a great, strong female actress who can pull off bloodcurdling death cries and rattles.”
I would expect nothing less out of Halo and Bungie. Wimpy wouldn’t cut it!
Female players are urged to voice their opinions on this in the Bungie forums.
I’ll have my eyes open for the big announcement.
