It’s down to a day before the Japanese launch and at least one Sony boss has finally learned to watch his words. Rather than wax poetic about the European launch, Sony’s Phil Harrison, is taking the safe road.“Given that all of our previous statements about launching in Europe simultaneously with the US and Japan turned out not to be the case, I would not like to make any definitive statements on that,” the worldwide studios boss has been quoted as saying. “It’s not my job to comment on hardware supply issues other than to say some very smart people are working very hard to catch up.”
Finally, a Sony exec who uses his head for more than a hat rack!
Does this mean Sony won’t launch in Europe in March? Maybe, maybe not. But the good news is at least Harrison isn’t willing to make promises he can’t keep.
I wonder if he can do math better than some of Sony’s other leaders?
