If you’re hoping to get your hands on a shiny, new PlayStation 3 in time for the holidays, you’re not alone. The problem is, you’re really not alone. There are a grand total of about 500,000 consoles to go around in two very large video game markets and thousands and thousands more wannabe buyers the world over.
People are making plans to camp out to get the console and there are even some good safety tips listed online for those doing so. Despite determination on the part of fans, however, it’s not looking good for anyone who doesn’t have a pre-order in already.
Fortunately, for PS3 fans who want an edge, there seems to be a good place to turn. PS3 Finder has been officially launched thanks to BensBargains.net.
The web site’s sole purpose is to scour a variety of retail outlets for consoles that are available and post them online. This means rather than having to check 15 video game sales sites, PS3 finder does it for you.
Plus, BensBargains is intending to give away a PS3 on Dec. 15 to help it celebrate its seventh anniversary.
PS3 Finder, by the way, is keeping an eye on everything from GameStop to eBay for consoles that might be out there waiting for a buyer. Expect better luck on eBay, however, as the PS3 promises to be hard-to-find from the get go.
