In response to a rash of Wii-related injuries – to humans, dogs and furnishings – Nintendo has decided to update its web site to include additional safety tips for gamers using the unique console and its remote. If you didn’t realize the Wii isn’t a typical gaming console, the words of wisdom on the Nintendo site should give you a clue. The site includes such gems as “Wear the wrist strap,” “Hold the Wii Remote firmly and do not let go,” and “Give yourself plenty of room.”
It’s hard to fathom Nintendo has to do this, but it seems as if out-of-shape gamers are having a genuinely difficult time keeping their Wiis in check as they play some of the more physically demanding games using the remote.
Go figure!
