“We will sell everything we make so now it's simply a manufacturing thing," he said.
This will no doubt be good news to those who are trying to get their hands on a console by Christmas time or shortly thereafter. However, some U.S. retailers have reportedly been sitting on shipments, according to Kotaku. Whether this will continue through the holiday season or not remains to be seen.
A confirmation of the target number comes right on the heels of Nintendo reporting a whopping 600,000 consoles sold to date.
