There’s truth in that rumor that Amazon.com intends to sell Xbox 360 core consoles for $100.
It’s not quite as straight forward as that, but what Amazon has cooked up is holiday marketing at its finest.
Amazon’s rolling out a program where registered users can vote on a mega sale of the week during the holidays. Up for week one, which starts Nov. 23, is a $100 Xbox 360 core system. It’s up against a Mongoose mountain bike for $30, a Barbie and a special membership with a gift certificate. The Xbox is winning the balloting hands down.
Should the 360 remain in the lead, the core console will go on sale at 11 a.m. on the 23rd. Only 1,000 units will be sold for that price, so be quick with your clicking to buy.
