There’s no denying the PlayStation 3 is one of the hottest items going this holiday season, but how hot is it?One gamer is claiming his new PS3 burned down his house, causing about $12,000 in damage.
“Not thinkin the NG, big boy playstation three would have any trouble being on over night.......... But I was wrong! Comming home at six in the morning and finding half of my house burnt to a crisp.. The fire department took a few days finding what set the blaze, my playstation three, so they say.. Funny the part of the house that got jacked up just so happen to be right where the ps3 was siting,” wrote a blogger named Chris on his site.
He’s got some pictures up of the house and doesn’t intend to sue Sony.
I couldn’t find collaborating information about the fire, so I won’t venture a guess one way or another about the validity of the claim.
If it is true, Sony could have a problem on its hands whether Chris sues or not. And, if it is true, my condolences to Chris.
