Steam is offering racing fans a chance to get in on the action for free this weekend. Starting Thursday, the Official WTCC Game can be played no charge during a promotion that ends Sunday afternoon.
The game’s available for pre-load on Steam right now and is touted as being the first title to deliver the intense action of the WTCC championship to PC gamers.
"RACE embodies the SimBin mantra of 'easy to learn; hard to master,'" said Henrik Roos, SimBin CEO in a media release. "Novices can get into the game and be racing immediately. And, with several game modes, the game remains challenging for expert drivers as well. RACE has been very well received by the media and we are excited to offer this extended test drive through Steam's upcoming free weekend."
The title costs $29.95 to purchase, but will be discounted 10 percent following the free race weekend. The game features more than 60 cars and 10 tracks that cover four continents. Multiplayer games enable up to 24 on the track, but single-player action is available, too.
