A new Xbox 360 that features a HDMI port, a 65nm processor and possibly a 120GB drive is rumored to be in the works, according to a piece in Engadget.Dubbed the “Zephyr,” the new 360 may or may not have the 120 gig drive built in.
Important to note on this one is that it is a rumor. Microsoft is not commenting one way or another.
However, the need for a larger hard drive is becoming more and more evident – especially with the movie and TV downloads now available on Xbox Live. The HDMI port, too, will help make the 360 more competitive with the PlayStation 3, which could be important in the coming months.
If this rumor pans out, it’s likely to be good news to 360 fans, especially with Halo 3 in the pipeline for later this year.
