It looks like Sony Computer Entertainment is taking a cue from its television division. The company is working on a number of PlayStation 3 titles that will be episodic by design.Word of this game development comes from John Hight, Sony’s director of production, during the Independent Games Summit at GDC.
“Mid -summer this year we'll be talking about some games that are episodic in nature," Hight is quoted as saying. “Some by design, more like interactive TV broadcasts and some to take content and spread it out"
Sounds like a great idea to get PS3 specific content out there that might take full advantage of the console’s power and graphics. Mid-summer sounds like a long time to wait right now, but here’s hoping they cook up something good enough to make the wait worthwhile.
