Sierra Entertainment and 20th Century Fox have made it official, the video game based on the upcoming movie will in fact feature the voices of the film’s actors.
Edward Speleers, Sienna Guillory, Garrett Hedlund and Robert Carlyle will reprise their roles from the film.
The video game will have players assuming the role of Eragon as he and his dragon Saphira ride into battle to save Alagaësia. It sounds like the combat system will be pretty neat for the game as players will be able to move in and out of co-op mode with other characters from the story.
News that the actors are taking the lead roles in voicing the game is more than good, too. Video games that don’t have the same familiar voices, such as “Buffy,” just don’t seem to ring as true.
Eragon, the game, is due out Nov. 14 for play on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, PSP, Nintendo DS, mobile and PC. The film hits the theaters on Dec. 15.
