Despite some fears that many of the games for Wii would debut Down Under with a price tag of more than $100, several major publishers have come forward to say that just won’t be the case.
Ubisoft and Electronic Arts had already announced their games wouldn’t top the $99.95 mark and now Activision has followed suit. This means Atari is the dark horse, and it’s being said those titles might hit the $110 mark.
Activision has also announced its Australian Wii titles for launch. They include the wildly popular title in the U.S., Marvel: Ultimate Alliance for $79.95 and Call of Duty 3 for the $99.95 price.
It’s good to see third-party publishers falling in with Nintendo’s wishes to keep things affordable. It will be interesting to see if Atari caves to the peer pressure or keeps its prices high.
