It might be the most intriguing game in the pipeline (next to Spore), and it appears as if it’s just gotten a huge boost. Project Offset has a publisher and it’s looking for Xbox 360-experienced employees to boot.
For those who don’t know, Project Offset is a game that’s still under creation, headed up by a team of several known game developers who decided they wanted to create a first person shooter in an epic fantasy world.
There’s not a whole lot of information out about the game as of yet, but early screenshots and trailers and the concept behind the title make it look and sound absolutely fantastic. An epic FPS with monsters that look so real they kind of give me the creeps just looking at the screenshots – it doesn’t get better than that.
But, for Xbox 360 owners, it does. The folks behind Project Offset are looking for folks with 360 experience to work on the game. The confirmation of a 360 platform release couldn’t be much more clear.
If that’s not enough, it looks like Project Offset has gotten a huge shot in the arm toward getting this game off the ground. The company has secured a publisher, but isn’t saying which one. There is speculation out that it could be EA, Ubisoft or Activision. Regardless of who it is, I’m just pleased to see this title making headway.
The conformation on the publishing deal comes from Project Offset co-founder Travis Stringer who announced recently on the game’s site that one had been secured. He also pointed folks to the jobs page, which of course lists the need for Xbox 360 pros.

You can bet I’ll be keeping my eyes on this one, and my wallet ready.
