Arena weapons and armour available for honour pre-WoW: Cataclysm

I’ve been playing WoW a lot in the run-up to the release of Cataclysm and not a lot of the players on my realm seemed to realise that you can now buy the Wrathful arena weapons and armour for honour. The items appear unavailable when you check the vendor: they are greyed out and have the red text ‘Requires battleground rating of 1800 personal and team arena rating of 1800′. But if you click the items you can buy them anyway with no problems provided you have enough honour.

I’ve been gearing up all my different alts this way for the past week or so and it appears the greyed out text and requirements on the items is just a bug. The items are at the goblin arena vendor in the sewers in Dalaran; all of the items are available to buy except the top tier arena weapons (item level 277) and the Wrathful shoulders.
