Blizzard have released a pair of new pets for WoW on the Blizzard Store, the Moonkin Hatchling and the Lil’ Ragnaros. The pets cost a fairly hefty €10 each, considering you could buy WoW itself for a fiver up until yesterday. Check out images and animations of the new pets here. When you buy the pets, Blizzard will send you a code to activate them, and you can either use it yourself or gift the code to someone else.
I’m not tempted personally to buy these pets but I know for a fact there are a lot of completists playing the game who like to own every piece of extra content. The buyable pets are also a short cut to completing the Lil’ Game Hunter achievement if you’re willing to part with your cash, but it’s easy enough to do without spending a penny. Warcraftpets.com is a good site for locating all of the ingame pets you might be missing for that achievement.
