Google announce Chrome 10.0

It has been in beta since February, but yesterday Google rolled out a stable new version of their Chrome browser. The fast, minimalist Chrome is now at 10.0 and brings to the table a few new features and speed improvements.

Most notable in the new Chrome is a massive javascript performance bump. According to Google’s numbers this equates to a 66% jump in javascrip speed based on their V8 Benchmark Suite.

Google also included the ability to find a particular setting via the search box. Each setting has its own address in the address bar, making it easy to talk friends and family through the browser’s settings (see above video for a demonstration).

Chrome will update to version 10 automatically but if you open the wrench and click on ‘About Google Chrome’ it will apply the update.
