Here’s a curious story of a player who grinded for 6 months in World of Warcraft, painstakingly levelling their character to 85 without killing a single mob or turning in a quest. The method they used to get the XP: explored the world map to get every last point of discovery XP as well as mining, herbing and archaeology when they reached the required level for it. :
Being on the ground and sneaking around mining and herbing and eventually archaeology, going everywhere to get every single point of discovery xp that you can, really gives you a chance to see an amazing world up close and personal. I spent hours swimming around reefs and flying to the farthest reaches of the maps.
