This will be of huge interest to fans of the original 1997 PlayStation game: a new game for the PS2 centered around the character of Vincent Valentine called Dirge of Cerberus:

The only information currently available on the game is that its story involves a mysterious group called the DGs attacking peaceful towns in the world. The game will take place one year after Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, the CG movie that recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival and is slated for release next year on DVD and the PlayStation Portable's UMD format.

While Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII is slated for release on the PlayStation 2 in 2005, Square Enix lists the game's genre as "undetermined," which suggests that the game is still in the early stages of development.

Atari will be re-releasing their classic console games in a single pack for the XBox and PlayStation 2.

The Atari Anthology will include 85 games that were originally released for the Atari 2600 system.

Capturing the nostalgia and sheer fun of the original video game revolution, ATARI ANTHOLOGY is scheduled to hit retail shelves in November at the competitive price point of $19.99 that could make it irresistible for holiday shoppers.
