Filefront have posted a bullet time mod for Half Life 2, allowing you to experience the Max Payne and Matrix effect in hl2. Here's a tiny simple script for hl2, which makes the game go "bullet-time" when pressing "b" button and while in bullet-time the physics and ragdolls fly a lot further than in normal mode. Due to no physics on bullets except crossbow, grenades, rpg and bugbait, the other weapons' bullets wont slow down. Check out the mod here Discussion >> Valve have updated Half-Life 2 to address a sound-stuttering problem in the game:This update will fix sound stuttering that users were experiencing that would last for longer than a few seconds during normal gameplay. This update will also eliminate this same behavior following a quicksave or autosave. There will still be a short pause while the autosave happens, but not the more drawn out stuttering behavior. They will also release the Source SDK next week, and a "surprise for the community" is promised.Read the full post More info: HL2Coding.com been launched Half-Life 2 Multiplayer Menu Mod - Thanks, Greg Discussion >>
TweakGuides.com have posted a tweaking tutorial for Half Life 2 so as that people with all walks of hardware can better adjust their systems for optimal performance of the game. Unless you've been cowering in an Iraqi spider hole for the past few years you can't possibly have escaped the incredible build-up to Half Life 2, nor avoided being caught up in the hype prior to its release. As you all know by now the "Half Life 2 Release Saga" has had its fair share of twists and turns including theft of the source code, shifting release dates, Valve benchmarks which showed HL2 being run faster on ATI hardware, only to be countered by recent benchmarks which show no such thing, Steam problems, stuttering issues and the list goes on and on. We gamers have been through a lot to play this game. Thanks hlfallout for the link. Check out the full article here Discussion >>

The developers of JFK Reloaded have come under criticism from the Kennedy family, but claim that the point of the game is to prove that there was no conspiracy: "We believe that the only thing we're exploiting is new technology," said Ewing, a former documentary filmmaker and senior executive with Scottish developer VIS, responsible for games like "State of Emergency." He said he sent Edward Kennedy a letter before the game's release.
