This is a game currently making hardcore pc players test their systems to the max. I saw it as an under dog really, didnt hear much on it until a demo was released. All you hear is about Doom 3 or Half Life 2 delaying the times. I believe this game has taken it to the next level and is heir to the next 2 games that we are all waiting to see.
This game uses a stunning engine by Crytek. Which I believe other gaming companies will use. It is very power hungry, nicking any memory and everything outta your pc.
This game at the moment has flawed all other fps in nearly every aspect and it's one heck of a ride!

The game has an amazing amount of options to improve the graphics and peformance and also
decrease if necessary.
If you have a low spec pc, dont worry the graphics are not too bad generally, just make sure water is on medium like the screenshots above!
So dont be to worried if your pc is not super maxed out. But to be honest it is worth doing, to get above a recommended spec. The game is gorgeous in so many aspects.
Introduction
You are John Carver an ex marine. You are with a FBI agent called Valerie, of course she is hot any other aspect! You do not know your purpose at the start of the game but very quickly you get notified.
If you watch the beginning sequence you will that you are on a boat. The tidal waves get too big, the ship gets turned over, you see loads of trojans then mercenaries shooting, whilst you get away underground! Your mission is to find out about the experiments going on! BUY THIS GOD DAMN GAME TO FIND THE REST OUT!
This game offers very many kool graphical and AI experiences. In this screenshot below you see a guy using cover then moving sideways and shooting. Ok yes I know very simple. But the AI has improved so much. They are no longer scripted they react to how you react. They call many commands, sometimes panic and shoot in the wrong direction! Work together as a team. It's not perfect but you can see where it is going.
Also as you know the game includes very many different kinds of monsters. Trigens being the main type. There are some with rifle and some with hugh ass bazookas!
These ones can be a pain in the ass! Some of them can only be detected by using thermal scope. They are the most annoying ones at the end of the day as you cannot really dodge bullets but you can with bazooka type shells!
There are many indoor areas as well. Of course this is where the less fps comes into play. I found outside was more playable on higher graphics whilst inside wasnt. Some really great effects. Similar to what we have seen from Doom 3 film clips.
Of course we love this IOCW the rifle always seen but never publicly made, if that is correct. A futuristic gun, but not used yet its still in the making!
Of course we have to add Valerie, You work as a team later on the game as you are searching for a cure!
The game is in your hands. You choose most of time on how you wish to go about this business! Apparently there are many endings and ways this game can be completed. You can be a stealth type, this lets you shoot everything, or a bit of both! I've never personally tried this yet, it's just what I've heard!
But if you do go all guns blazing, beware choppers are on the lookout for you.
Hint: Shoot gunner!
Also many games have started to use the crosshairs, like the sight down a gun barrel. Well Far Cry uses a zoom. Which I like as you get to see the cool weapon models!
It has many cool features and effects. Like being able to shoot chains, lighting, smoke, shadows etc. But I like this drained wash one the most when you have been hit!
Ah omfg I passed out. Oh bugger I died! Nice tile flooring!
Far Cry is by no means perfect. I've had a few problems but very minor like, The trigens taking damage from me when missing. I couldn't open up a warehouse door, which was needed for an objective! So I had to restart from a check point!
Also the game autosaves in certain points. You are unable to save yourself. So there's no room for cowards.
There are man vechicles you are able to drive! A number of boats and a few jeeps! Some are equipped with machine guns whilst others have rocket launchers as well!
Conclusions:
This type of game people have been waiting for! Something to really stand out from the rest. Many gamers have gotten so annoyed on waiting for Doom 3 and Halflife 2, then this comes outta nowhere, but believe me it's a must buy game. There are up to 20 different levels that are enjoyable and annoying but in a good way!
The multiplayer is also fun, but I found the maps too big, and laggers were very annoying. When people lagged they jumped all over the place and you couldn't shoot them. Whilst in the other games they lag and cannot do nothing whilst you can shoot them!
