Gamestop’s latest offer is a straight $99 for a preowned 20GB Xbox 360 bundle. The offer is a full $100 off their normal price of the console – in comparison Amazon are selling the 4GB version for $199.
The other offers Gamestop have on Xbox 360 bundles include $120 off the Fable III bundle and $130 off the Pro Game bundle which comes with Fable III and Halo Reach.

Amazon are currently running a series of offers with up to $150 off a selected range of Intel 15/17 processors bundled with PNY Nvidia Quadro graphics cards. They have 3 offers in all, a $30, $50 and $150 off deal when you buy the processor and card together.
The $150 offer covers the Intel i5-2300 2.8Ghz, 15-2500 3.3 Ghz, I5 2500K 3.3 Ghz and I7-2600 3.4 Ghz processors when bundled with the PNY Nvidia quadro VCQ 5000 card.

EA are running a weekend special on their online store for Dead Space and Dead Space 2. A straight 40% off can be had when buying the digital download version over the weekend, but only if you’re in the US or Canada.

Gamestop are running online deals on games today for Cyber Monday. In announcing these discounts they didn’t specify when the time runs out on them, so presume that this is open while stocks last and for today only. One of the games on the list (Borderlands GOTY Edition) has sold out already:

One advantage to using Twitter today is you can get early notifications of when Amazon’s lightning deals on video games are going live. Just follow the official @AmazonGames feed and you’ll get an update and details 15 minutes early.
Amazon have been heavily pushing their Black Friday video game promotions all week and over the course of today, a fountain of lightning deals are being released. The deals today will include discounts on Fallout New Vegas, Halo Reach and the God of War collection.

Gamestop have released a shortlist of a few games that will drop in price on Friday. Note that the deals haven’t gone live yet but will activate on 26th of November:

The Games for Windows Marketplace is offering BioShock 2 for $9.99 for the next week. The usual price is $19.99. Check out the deal here (if you can get it working, see below).
The Games for Windows Marketplace (why does Microsoft always use these long awkward names for simple things) was launched in mid-November and is supposed to be akin to Steam. I tried to sign up for the service just now to check it out myself but quickly got snared in sign-up hell because I was foolish enough to use Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer on a Microsoft owned site. Then, after I loaded up IE and sorted the sign up, I found myself redirected to the Xbox Live marketplace instead of where I wanted to be. Then when I was finally on the right page to buy a PC game and check out the client, I got a ‘Sorry your region (Ireland) is not currently supported’ and gave up.
It’s only a new service and some creases are yet to be ironed out, but not selling to me because I’m in Ireland is not really acceptable. Valve will accept your money no matter where you live and even accept PayPal and I don’t think they really care which browser you use either.
Anyway, if you’ve got into the service and are using it, let me know what you think of it.

I chanced across a handy service offered on MSN’s Australian affiliate website that might be of help if you’re shopping around for a new notebook. They offer a free form to ask their reviewers what notebook suits your needs before you buy. The answers are posted up on the website, so it’s a win-win for you and them.

Gamestop have posted up a preview of their deals for this coming Friday. The deals cover 12 pages on their site, too much to list here. But they’re promoting deals on the 3 major consoles on the main page of the ad. These all go live on the 26th and expire on the 4th of December:

For those who like to create their own system (and save lots of money), Anandtech have posted up a short and sweet guide for building a decent system for under $1000. One build uses the AMD Phenom II x6 and the other an Intel Core i5 760; both make use of the ASUS Radeon HD 6850 1GB.

AMD Phenom II X6 processor + MSI motherboard discount runs out on Nov 23
Amazon’s prelude to the Black Friday shopping day on the 26th continues and they’ve posted up teasers for a trio of lightning deals later today. One of the offers references ‘writing your own epic story each time you play’, which is snagged from the promo material for Civilization V.
The deal goes live at 8:15 AM PST in the U.S (in about 8 hours at the time of this posting). The other two deals will be for the Nintendo DS and an unspecified sci-fi shooter. Both of those deals open at 10:15 AM PST.

Microsoft have released a bunch of deals as a prelude to the traditional shopping day on Black Friday (26th of Nov). The Kinect is only out since the 4th of Nov but there’s already a discount to be had for the device. There’s also a deal on an Alienware thrown in for good measure:
I don’t know many people who game on a 40″ LCD screen, but anyone in the market for a gaming screen of that size that has the kind of GPU grunt for a 40″ display might want to head over to Amazon.
In the lead-up to Black Friday, Amazon have slashed the price of this 40″ LCD from $649.99 to $399.99. This offer is today only.

If you’re looking for some old school dungeons & dragons PC gaming, you can now pick up the classic Baldur’s Gate 2 and the expansion for $9.99. Good Old Games have added the game to their catalogue and I can personally recommend it, having poured hours of game time into completing it when it came out around the year 2000.
The game was developed by BioWare utilising the advanced dungeons and dragons engine and was the pinnacle of these games in my opinion; I could never get as absorbed in NeverWinter Nights and IceWind Dale as I did with the Baldur’s Gate series.

Origin PC have announced they’re giving away a copy of Tom Clancy’s Hawx 2 with every new system that comes with an Nvidia graphics card.
The air combat game costs $55 normally if you buy it on Gamestop. There might be some leeway for current customers of Origin PC to snag a copy as well judging by the comments on their Facebook but don’t quote me on that.
If you were considering picking up the Square Enix title, maybe wait 7 hours 50 mins for Amazon’s lightning deal to go live. The retailer has a teaser placeholder up at the moment which simply states: ‘From the creative minds behind Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X’
The deal is part of Amazon’s prelude to Black Friday on the 26th, and they are rolling out a new game deal every day as part of that as well as these lightning deals. Yesterday saw 30% knocked off the price of Sid Meier’s Civilization V.
USA Today has a handy tips list for buying technology and electronics in the run up to Black Friday. Instead of a one-day event, they report that deals can be had for the whole month of November and a lot of deals can be found online.

I haven’t played the game personally, but the customer reviews on Amazon are good: 4½/5 stars average for the PS3 version and 4/5 stars for the Xbox 360 version.
