Nintendo confirmed that it will be launching its second Wii console in 2012.
Although no technical specs of the next Wii have been released, the public will get a glimpse at Wii the second at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles in June; where the company will make known more about the console’s hardware.
According to Nintendo’s chief executive, Satoru Iwata the Wii 2 will “offer a new way of playing games within the home.”
Not much else is known about the Wii 2 at this stage. One thing is all but certain, the next Nintendo console will be high-def.
